(ENG) Geyi embroidered Miao coat: maroon colour with embroidered collar, shoulders, sleeves and hem. Extended black fabric at the hem is colourfully decorated with bright pink, blue and orange ornaments. Knot stitch and stack stitch are used. Knot stitch is a technique of knotting thread to create three dimensional patterns. The knots on this coat are extremely small and round, displaying masterful craftsmanship. Stack stitch, also known as pile stitch, is a technique that involves cutting and folding the glued light silk fabric into thin triangles. These triangles are stacked onto the base fabric, then sewn with needle and thread to form rectangular patches. The exquisite craftsmanship of this coat makes it a highly valued part of the collection.
